Mysterious Lovers

As winter slowly fades away into cosiness
Summer reveals warmth upon palm trees
Quiet rustle of leaves as bats make way
Screeches of joy as they come to life

Alone a man sits under Ninth Dan’s kick
Perhaps in a drunken stupor as customary
The night abruptly alters into silence
As the neighbourhood sleeps in harmony

Expectations of some drunken hostility
Realisation occurs from Thursday bores
Vacant eyes stare through a white van
Awaiting his love in hours of darkness

He waits and he lingers till early morning
As his mistress tiptoes away from kin
A mystery surrounded with love triangles
Two dark lovers of the strangest kind.

Oh my! I love the imagery you painted in this wonderful quatrain. Your word choice flows like liquid to a bitter sweet and vivid image. Well done!

    Love,
    Amera♥
