And dance in a wild storm.
To kiss you as the rain runs down your face.
To touch you,
As water, purer than gold,
Soaks you to the bone.
I want to walk through a thick forest,
In the dead of winter.
And watch the snowflakes,
Fall upon your stunning face.
To be under the trees,
Sleeping through the cold.
And to feel so alive,
Against the winters bleak touch.
I want to walk through the early spring grass,
Under the cool chill of Spring.
And gently run a flower petal along your cheek.
To see the world come to life in your eyes,
Just as it is all around us.
I want to stand with you under the crisp fall trees.
As the brilliantly colored leaves,
Fall silently all around.
I need to see you laugh,
In the soft Autumn twilight.
To lay in a bed of orange, red and yellow,
Holding you close to my heart.
These,
Are my dreams of you.
All of which.
I pray come true.
Author notes
This poem is means a great deal to me. And considering what I usually write. It's rather short and very freelance. But It's about all these years i've gone without him. All the basics things in life we've missed out on. All those things most of us take for granted every day. And i've learned to cherish them completely. I need these memories...and hopefully, one day soon...I can start making them again...enjoy the write

such a beautiful poem....
I want to go out to a felid somewhere,
I only want to point out the little typo in "field." Sorry about that.
This romantic piece reminds me of how important it really is to hold on to your dreams, just as you said in your author notes about cherishing those things most of us take for granted. That is so very easy to do. In this day and age, so many people forget what is really important, and get so caught up in things that just don't really matter; they lose sight of why they fell in love in the first place. Somewhere along they way, they have forgotten how to share in one another's hopes and dreams.
I really love how you worded this stanza. I can feel the melodious rhythm in the spattering rain, as it trickles down. It's quite a visual that permeates my senses.
And dance in a wild storm.
To kiss you as the rain runs down your face.
To touch you,
As water, purer than gold,
Soaks you to the bone.

This stanza is magic. I absolutely love the crisp scent of Autumn. I guess that's probably why I write so much haiku. I can visualize prismatic leaves in silent descent as I read through these words, and that's what I find so enticing about this piece.
I want to stand with you under the crisp fall trees.
As the brillantly colored leaves,
Fall silently all around.
I need to see you laugh,
In the soft Autumn twilight.
To lay in a bed of orange, red and yellow,
Holding you close to my heart.

By the way, would you mind being my AP friend? I would love to post a link to your beautiful poetry on my author page. I have no doubt that others must be as entranced by your poetry as I am.
