A silent young girl

A silent young girl lived in a home
Her Dad had undiagnosed DID syndrome
The more she did the less she hurt.
If she did enough Dad wouldn’t harm Stewart.

Stewart was kind and loved her most
Why was Dad different and with her most?
Stewart never hit her but Dad did
When Dad came home she always hid

His hate for her showed black and blue
One night family services came to rescue
When they came they saw bloodshed
The silent young girl was sprawled and dead

Author notes

This poem is a parody of a smaller poem 'A wise old owl' the original poem is only one stanza long. I added two more.
