A gentle hello,
A softening of glances exchanged.
Under the protective, watchful eyes
of the stars. They met with
understanding, compromise, and affection.
A subtle turn of her head and
A lingering breath exchanged.
Her sweet, shy, coyness
was met by him with
clarity, purposefulness and poise.
A soft touch of hands and
An unbending friendship exchanged.
His honest, brash, boldness
was met by her with
adoration, kindness and patience.
A whispered smile and
A delicate promise exchanged.
Beyond any doubts or wonders
of paths chosen or followed with
hesitation, reluctance, or gusto.
Rests with them –
A security in the simplicity of rightness and
An eternal vow exchanged.

This was delightful. The exchange of marriage vows may change over the years but the promises remain the same. Bravo, nicely voiced

Welcome to AllPoetry
This is truly beautiful. You can picture the untainted love shared. The use of subtle imagery without trying to overpower the scene makes for a brilliant read.
