Mere truth.

I am I
And you are you
But maybe we are one.
I feared my ignorance...
But I've known you all along.
You deny me with such vigor
But I need you for each breath

Because you are me
And I am you.

I hear your voice go soft,
And all the world as well,
As I wait for words to tell me
All I already know...

Because you are me
And I am you.

My mind works ceaselessly
To immortalize your being
Because it's the only way you'll stay.
Still I know (though you doubt)
That the burning flames of eloquence
That you've seared into my soul
Are forever there...
With the midnight sun
And the breaking dawn...

Because you are me
And I am you.

    AMAZING

This is absolutely wonderful. After reading it, I sat by my laptop thinking, "Wow, if that isn't what I've been thinking forever." You successfully pinned down what I've been trying to figure out for goodness knows how long. Your poetry is always so beautiful and this really left me remembering every person who has ever affected me. You captured the power of such a tumultous feeling, and I really just loved the whole thing. It was fantastic, if I haven't already said that A wonderful and eloquent poem!!!
