can’t walk
    into a room
without checking
        [and rechecking]
  the doors.
    turn over the pocketknife
                [in my pocket]
  one.two.three
                    times
        got to
pickpickpickpickpick
      at my skin
[no stopping
      once I start]
  WAIT….
                  heart.throbbing.in.my.ears
  forgot to check
under the bed
        ((for the boogeyman
                    .: of course :.))

o.b.s.e.s.s.i.v.e.n.e.s.s

    (bite your fingernails)

to the point of c.o.m.p.u.l.s.i.v.e.n.e.s.s.

    (go ahead, touch the hot stove)

and it’s driving me

    (one.two.three.one.two.three.one.two.three)

over
          the
                edge.

    Wow, I didn't know this. It must be pretty hard to deal with. I'm sorry you have to deal with it and I hope this winter will be better for you in the very least.

    ... it's hard for me to imagine what it'd b like to be o.c. being as lazy and careless (stupid?) as i am. but the poem helps alot =)
