A Cascadeing waterfall,
Standing behind it,
Stareing at my reflection,
And through the moving water,
Slides two completely different people.
One is giddy,
Beautifully in love,
So sure of herself.
And the other,
Is petrified.
Too afraid to move or breath.
And they are at war with each other.
Takeing a momentous breath,
I lift my hand.
Fingers trembling and quivering uncontrollably.
They connect with the water.
And part the reflections playing back at me.
I squeeze my eyes shut.
And just feel the water beating down on my fingers.
A tear struggles it's way past my guard.
And betraying me,
Slithers down my cheek.
Forcing my eyes open,
I force myself to take in all that I am.
Turning my hand palm up,
I allow the pure icy drops,
To catch in my hands.
After a tormenting moment,
I step cautiously forward.
Letting the water fall on me.
Dropping my arms to my sides.
And let it all consume me.
Always open for improvement...so help me out here please

Thanks for posting this write. I really enjoyed this part, "A tear struggles it's way past my guard.
And betraying me,
Slithers down my cheek." This is nice; I got the sense of a real struggle...one with tears and betrayal in this case. I loved the sense it gave. It caught my attention nicely. Thanks for the read.

This is great! It reminded me of the days when I was a little younger, now I said a little
when I use to swim at the falls, there was a cave inside and the water ran over the mouth of it. I could really feel this poem, excellent work!

Wow this is an awesome poem.... the imagiry is excellent.. I love to way you put two people in there... even though there was just one.... I could feel as is I was the person looking down on myself..I love the way it starts.... And also the way it ends... In a peaceful sence of mind and body....
