Strangers

We were our own universe, today we're strangers.
What do I say, you say we're strangers.

This blood that I shed is not charity,
It's transaction, for we must pay, we're strangers.

I thought we were two lines of the same couplet,

but I found to my utter dismay, we're strangers.

This game of silent words must stop now,

keep your silence, do not play, we're strangers.

No, you cannot clasp my trembling hand

emotions and silence must not sway, we're strangers.

Perhaps this bond is too deep for the world,

Perhaps that is why we display we're strangers.

If love can bring grief as harsh as this,
Then Raazi, I shall pray we're strangers.

Please tell me what you think

Mmm..some of the saddest days are when people who should never have been strangers to me were no more than that...and even less. Heartbreaking.
