Heavens Rain

Laughing to the madness that cheapens his silhouette,
He watched her innocence shatter with no sense of regret.
Dark coloured sequins marching precarisly through the night,
Leaving her drowning powerless in this emotional sacrifice.

Stretching her weary arms persuasively to the sky,
Praying the heavens would listen to her mournful cries.
Sending down rains to cleanse her tear stained pale face,
Wash away her abandoned hearts; bitter disgrace.

Moving through an ocean that she could never comprehend,
Her heart a black sapphire only the forgotten could understand.
