Humid breezes scatter the fallen leaves.
The trees are quickly losing their finery.
Grass is short and brittle.
Summer tang is leaving the air.
The morning Sun's appearance is around 7 a.m.
Birds are strengthening their nests.
Cats and dogs fur is becoming shaggy.
Evening drops her mantle earlier.
Sleeveless shirts and shorts get washed for
the last time.
Drawers are packed with Summer wear,
Heavier clothing gets center stage.
Sandals are replaced with loafers and boots.
Happy memories of Summer linger.
Bright hot moments of fun.
Holiday Season is rapidly approaching,
Family events soon merry and bright.

The closet and drawer changes autumn requires is necessary for warmth. But once accomplished warm socks, and sweaters and toasty fireplaces are my favorites. "Heavier clothing gets center stage. Sandals are replaced with loafers and boots" Warmer footwear of autumn is one of the key points of the season but is often overlooked in describing the colors and holidays. Sometimes it is the subtle things we note and put in writing that can create the unique and well remembered peice. Great job.

Happy memories
I can only have memories of a September like this from when I lived in Arkansas. Here in Arizona, it doesn't get cold until November. Lovely memories!
