since I ended it all

we've only shared insults since
common sayings
not our normal cute banter
stupid jokes shared
insults followed by 'I'm just kidding'
and the apologetic grabbing of my waistline
[because to you, it makes everything better
and somehow, you're right.]
and you've called me
for no reason on this Sunday afternoon
[just like last time]
'you're going to talk to me now, right?'
you say
[slurring your speech, excited about nothing]
'of course, why wouldn't I?'
I mean... you are the unfortunate love of my life, babe
[I won't lie to myself about it
maybe just everyone else]
and I have a feeling
that you will be for a while
I just can't let you know that...

*huge sigh* I'm so tired of messing with him, but it's so hard to keep him out of my life and when he pushes back in, I invite him back.... why? I don't want him back... but this little sliver of me, does. and wants him to always be there...

Life always seem to make itself so complicated. I can understand your feelings in this piece, and I know that your not alone. You really portray the feelings in the piece, and I like it. Especially the "[because to you, it makes everything better
