So I was told to write a free verse,
But what else can I write about,
You're on my mind all the time.
Nothing else can break through.
As if you are some invincible force.
Blocking the chambers of my dark,
Broken, and shattered heart.
Which you just abandoned.
With no remorse,
To rot and die.
But I swear that I,
Could go on forever,
Again.
And over a million more times
After that, until the end of time.
To just have you back as mine,
To be able to say “Yes I do have someone,
To hold, to love, and cherish.”
Would mean the world to me,
And I would be complete again.
But if only,
You had the same feeling,
For the hope of our future,
If you could only realize,
I'm lost without you.
