Darkness

As I lay here in a dark room,
Ready to let myself go,
But on the outside I am
The person they all know me as,
Cheerful, happy, anything
But the depressed freak I am.
If only they knew what was
On the inside.

The inside trapped in darkness,
No light at the end of any
Tunnel for me
Just darkness,
Alone; No one to hold me,
To keep me from slipping
Into eternal purgatory,
Forever.
But how did you slip in,
When there is no escape?
How did you manage to get into my brain,
My heart, and then rip it
Into millions of pieces,
Left shattered, broken, and unrepairable,
Forever.
