I LOVE THIS! The combination of the picture and the simple poem, even the font you used makes for a LOL moment!

    love it!

This tiny little thing put a big old smile on my face....simple and sweet. Reminds me soooooooooooo much of my best friend Indy Jones (german shepherd) who was born to play! Loved it!

    It's a collie not a retriever I love, but I understand.

It may technically be more a senryu than a haiku, but regardless it's the idea that is the main thing and whilst it's a little too cute for me personally I am sure I've been known to refer to the dogs I grew up with in the same way.

    Great ball!

I'm sure your dog is having a ball with you!
I love dogs, all breeds or non-breeds, have 5 at home myself, all reared from pups one is a rescue. 3 Greyhounds and two mixes. only one playes with a ball occasionally, but she's 10 and getting lazy. The other was a black Greyhound girl who played with balls, squeeky toys, an eternal pup. She succumbed to bone cancer at 10 only a few weeks ago. I miss her terribly...

Nifty and kewl. Cute haiku. My mom used to have a dog like that. He was very tamed. I like the backdrop color as well. I love it.

I had a collie/retriever mutt once, and I know what you mean. She'd not only be insistent every ball be thrown, she'd herd-up every other dogs' ball in the dog park to boot!

I could actually sense the image and anticipation of that bouncing-like-a-ball retriever by this haiku. Thanks for this great entry to the contest!
