Gone the winters chill
and bare brooding chestnut trees.
Now, their candle covered branches sing of spring.
The stones tell Everyman`s story, carved with care,
encircled with primroses at their base.
No misty frost, haunting eerily in corners,
but dappled sunlight giving life to the scene.
A pleasant walk through lych gate
towards the church, with no sign of death
resting here, on this Spring day.

"towards the church, with no sign of death
resting here, on this Spring day."
Those lines really represent the same idea that I got in my poem. And I love that. You really made it your own. It's short, but really epic in its theme of death. Love it! -
