Dishcloth Put to Attic Treasure

Finding the intricately wrought, silver frame
dotted with pearls,
she wiped decades' dust
from off his handsome, sturdy face

Author notes

I've had two family members die with Alzheimers, and while the characters in this piece are fictitious, I consider this poem a gentle tribute to their memory.

Such a beautiful, heart-felt take on the picture frame prompt. Well-used poetic devices make this a powerful read.
