The keyboard glistens on the table
conjuring a rhyme, perhaps, a fable.
The brushes bristle in their cup
fearing they are all washed up.
The newest fan brush speaks out boldly,
"I could take him out, jab him in a tab, coldly."
The liners unite to put up a fight,
"We have a better plan, with a touch so light."
"In our slender state, we could tickle him between the keys
figuratively, bring him begging to his knees,"
the liners chorused in unison. Slumbering not,
the keyboard electrifies attempting to defy the plot.
With magnificent effort, the keyboard glows
using all Dell support information he knows.
"To report insurgency, press two,
and we will soon get back to you."
Perplexed, he queries, "What do you guys have against me?"
"The artist loves you, can't you see? She adores each key."
they answered. "She lavishes her time on you to indulge her passion,
words, words, words, neglecting her painting designs, her sense of fashion."
The keyboard flashes urgently, attempting to deflect impending attack,
and encourage the artist to get her sense of balance back,
"Brushes, jump down, and push with all your might,
until you have me safely secured, under the monitor, out of sight."
Thusly the inaminates plotted, to motivate the artist to get back to her orders,
to gain back the duality, artist and writer, thinking beyond borders.
Sadly, on awakening, the artist acquiesced, acknowledging her lack of restraint,
giving warning to all, for a few days, less time to write, more time to paint!
Words come alive when answered in kind.

This is unique and beautiful. The imagery is powerful and really stands out. Such a brilliant piece of writing this is. I got really carried away and lost in this. Well done indeed.

Wayne Leon, I am delighted
that you "got carried away
and lost" in the story, for
that is what you do to the
readers of your stories,
entrapping them in the
depths of the dark details.
I rather liked this piece, too,
as I put into words the battle
of creativity vs. creativity.
Thank you!

Enthralled!
What a magnificent write this is, the struggle between brush and word. But if the heart is for the brush, then the brush must win; though the feelings, the words which hum inside, will help create a beautiful picture... I write... Paint on, Poetess, though, allow your fingers to gently brush the keys from time to time...
I truly enjoyed every moment of this write, most wonderful!
Easy.

Ah, Knight of Words,
the heart is not claimed by the brush at present,
for it is more enthralled by the strength of words.
But for the business to continue, I must adjust
my mindset, and create the pieces our customers
have ordered. A tug of war between two loves.
But since I enjoy creating new, I must tow the line
and keep us in business!
Happy am I to read your comment
and know that it gave you moments of enjoyment!
