... And out
From the surrounding shadows
Stalked Curiosity,
Meekly at first
Though it did not take him long
To make himself at home.
He beckoned his mates to follow
And soon he found himself
Surrounded...
By Feelings,
Sympathy,
Conjecture and more.
Creativity came last
As she tried to hide
Behind Uniqueness
But it was to know avail
As Uniqueness quickly faded
Upon the first sharp rays of light.
It is all the poet's business,
Let no rock remain unturned.
From the surrounding shadows
Stalked Curiosity,
Meekly at first
Though it did not take him long
To make himself at home.
He beckoned his mates to follow
And soon he found himself
Surrounded...
By Feelings,
Sympathy,
Conjecture and more.
Creativity came last
As she tried to hide
Behind Uniqueness
But it was to know avail
As Uniqueness quickly faded
Upon the first sharp rays of light.
It is all the poet's business,
Let no rock remain unturned.
Author notes
Inspired by a poem I read by Lyndon entitled MINDING MY OWN Business http://allpoetry.com/poem/2863476
This just simply ran out as I began to comment.
I liked it,
so I copied it
but when I went to paste it
... it fell
and shattered into prose.
Best of luck with the contest,
Kj
