God and Goddess, hear my plea
I wish for protection over me
as I wake and breathe each morn
You've been here, since I was born
Now, each day, guide me, I ask
as I face each and every task
In every aspect of my life
May my heart be free of strife
And should I suffer in anything
May you take me under your wing
and heal me, of any possible pain
and wipe my cheek, where tears stain
Keeper of all in the universe
free my mind of things, perverse
Open my heart and eyes to see
and feel the positve energy
I bring you offerings and gifts
a token, for the bad, you lift
and the goodness, that sets me free
All come from the powers that be
And keeping with the Wiccan crede
taken in all the words I read
"And it harm none, do as you will"
And in this vow, peace, I feel
So, Mote It Be...
I wish for protection over me
as I wake and breathe each morn
You've been here, since I was born
Now, each day, guide me, I ask
as I face each and every task
In every aspect of my life
May my heart be free of strife
And should I suffer in anything
May you take me under your wing
and heal me, of any possible pain
and wipe my cheek, where tears stain
Keeper of all in the universe
free my mind of things, perverse
Open my heart and eyes to see
and feel the positve energy
I bring you offerings and gifts
a token, for the bad, you lift
and the goodness, that sets me free
All come from the powers that be
And keeping with the Wiccan crede
taken in all the words I read
"And it harm none, do as you will"
And in this vow, peace, I feel
So, Mote It Be...

Wonderful
First off congrats on the well deserved shinny gold!! I really like this poem just a fabulous write. It was really hard to find a favorite part of this poem as it was all great. I really like the rhyme and it flowed great. I think my favorite part was,
Keeper of all in the universe
free my mind of things, perverse
Open my heart and eyes to see
and feel the positve energy
Just a awesome write all the way around, congrats and keep them coming!! -

This poem has the feel of an "As I lay me down to sleep" type poem... it's very masterfully written! Well done!

I like the view you have. I used to be a Christian and now when I thank my goddess, it reminds me of praying-just w/o all the other christian stuff- and it helps me understand what it is I'm really doing. I love that this piece is asking for protection. Thanks for entering.

Awesome
If I were a practising pagan this would definitely be my ceremonial opening prayer!

-
A powerful prayer. It speaks for itself.

I love the idea behind this poem, the meaning. I like the title too. There were times the piece seemed a bit choppy and I think there could be some smoother transitions throughout the poem, but I enjoyed reading this and really appreciate the entry. The picture you chose is my favorite
