Stepping into my life,
without any sign of it occurring.
Dark but warm eyes,
set behind a beautiful bold white smile.
He sounds so much like a character from a romance novel,
but I'm a lucky girl, he is real.
Walking over to my table,
which was far from his intended destination.
Addressing me as miss,
he asks to have this dance.
Out of the corner of my eye,
I saw another girl very upset, I guess he had used that line with her.
Shaking my head I say no,
but he insists I should take his offer.
I stand and turn to the floor,
he takes my hands and I can't remember anymore.
Weeks later I sit writing this,
remembering the fun I had.
A knock at the door,
I'm surprised to see him.
Taking me in his arms,
we kiss each other so passionately.
Now I have to say goodbye,
my boyfriend in waiting just outside.
Author notes
I had this dream about my boyfriend and me, but since he lives in the UK this sadly never happened 2 us.

Oh!!! but dreams can come true
This is a wonderful story poem of your dream! Love can be just like a romance novel and I think it should be! But then again, that is why I have this group
Thank you for such a beautiful entry to my contest!!

A great poem. All of us should dance into love. I really enjoyed this story. All of us are characters in a romance novel. Some of us are romantic and some not so much.

I love to dance I think that it is the epitome of loving affection set to motion the poetry is beautiful it all just flows tgether and even though you never tell us about the dance its self i can see it happening in my mind but you forgot the fully animated prince charming bow all the way down to the floor (thats the corny move I like to use when asking for a dance)
