For Him

My heart beats for him
Love I know now
He held me so close
His strong arms encircle me
He looks so happy
Under that I see tired eyes
But a quest for knowledge
Something never ending
And to it forever his time
I do not mind
His affection is all I need
A love that shines like no other
My mind lingers over thoughts of him
Feelings I do not understand
They run through my viens
I wonder of over these feelings
But do not complain
For he brings a smile to my lips
And I forget the cruel world
Wrapped in his gentle arms
Peacful staring into his cool blue eyes
A smile will always grace my lips
When he appears around the corner
Sometimes I swear hes a werewolf
But I don't mind his nightly hours
As long as I get to seem him
Little else matters

He is my lion

Really nice piece. You had me up until "sometimes I swear he's a warewolf". I see where you're comming from, but the image doesn't really do it for me.

I'm also confused by the line:
"I wonder of over these feelings"

I can really identify with your sentiment, and it does invoke these feelings in me as well. Well written.

    Realy pretty.

My first impression is of the wonder of first love. Emotionally I can feel your intense emotions. this is not awkward to read, however there are a couple of things I would change in line 16 I would leave out the word (of) between {I wonder and over these feelings} {then in lineline 26 "As long as I get to (seem) should be (see) him}. This is all my favorite so do not have any part that I do not like. The title is perfect for this poem and the first line sets up the tone for this very well. The last line works well as an ending. I liked this.

    Devotion Unspoken

The deep abandonment is reflected in these words

"As long as I get to seem him
    Little else matters"

For whom is to say what love is but as love is shapeless, just like water it can fit any mold the love that is shared so freely cannot but endure the test of time and the brutality of life in this promising new world.

I like it, I like it so.
