Angelic Task

Missing image

Angelic Task

T
ake heed my King, my task to thee today;
I fall on my knees and give you the praise.
Yet one more soul has been sent on its’ way,
for another soul, to you we did raise.

In angelic splendor, I follow thy script,
I have summoned thy pow’r to send him above.
Thou hast granted me task, within this crypt,
a soul taken flight to immortal love.

Yet I am created, lower than man.
A guardian angel, I exist with no soul.
I have loved you m’Lord since time began.
I hope that one day you will make me whole.

Still here on my knees, I can only pray
that you bid me a soul, bless me one day.

This is fantastic. The form is perfect, but the image is larger than life. Beautiful, spiritual, fantastic. I love it.

You made my day, week, and month with this. This is divine.

Beautiful write. Lots of emotion in this piece. I never thought of angels in this sense before and actually feel sorry for them now. They are probably the ones who need love and souls most, but no-one really shows or gives it to them. Congrats on winning the gold. Well deserved, in my opinion. Keep writing.

I love what you've done with the picture prompt! I like the whole idea that you don't have a soul until the Lord gives you one as a gift...the gift of life! Very well done!
