a black winged hawk
and a brown singing tree
they listen to me talk
and watch over me
they watch us fight
they hear us shout
I know it aint right
with out a doubt
I remember the days
of love and touch
now your in a haze
and I don’t care much
you broke my heart
right in two
ripped apart
because of you
so I say a final goodbye
and look in your eyes
I used to see an ally
now I see a disguise
what happened to your love?
tears fall from my face
and float to heaven above
or is that just empty space?
I look at you as I walk away
your beautiful black hair
those eyes that betray
and your face cold and bare.
and my black winged hawk
and brown singing tree
watch her and gawk
at what she could be
