Dawn Cometh

Golden spikes splatter yellow onto skies,
Chasing the Nimbus away from the frame;
Succulent petals of blossoms salute
Chivalrous rays battling Gods of the night.

Somewhere, swallows erupt welcome to morn,
Ancient cherubs morph, blooming butterflies.
Nightly chill melts into dewdrops of dawn,
Blushing, Earth embraces warmth of the Sun.
