Dearest one,
We've known each other for many years. Stayed in touch through all of life's roller coaster rides. Why, one would wonder would two people take so long to realize that they belong, fit together like puzzle pieces. The peace you bring to me. Our easy camaraderie is a gift. We've mellowed with our age, but like fine wine the taste of us is better for it. Your laugh brings me joy. You silly antics and comedic sarcasm amuses me and makes my heart grow. It sings with joy when I'm in your embrace.
You've shared my joys, my sorrows and my sadness. I thank the creator everyday for a love such as yours. I can only hope you feel the same. I love to watch you sleep. Cocooned within the blankets such a childlike look within your features.
You bring me peace, you make my soul sing and my body quiver. I'm so alive when i'm with you. Thank you my darling for this. (and you thought it was just the magic chair i was coming to visit!) I hope we continue our unique love and that life doesn't present us with too many challenges because of it.
Right now your off adventuring. Strange it is to feel more unease at this then when we've been apart for 9 years. I guess the past few months i've gotten to need the scent of you in my nose. The feel of your skin under my hands. The sight of you studying what's on the page. I can picture your bouncy step and one foot pivots. I also know when you've awoken in pain. I long to soothe that while your gone.
This time i know you'll come back to me. Time will however be exponentially slower than ever before. Could this time i allow myself to fall truly head over heels. Old man time won't tell me, only my heart will. I can't tell you how afraid i am to totally let go. I do however believe you understand this now.
I can only hope and pray that this will be our last long separation. That the call of love will bring you home.

I can relate very well to this write. You've expressed your feelings beautifully, and even though it is fairly short, I still get a good idea of the kind of relationship you have with this person. I especially like how you describe feeling at peace when you are together.

Awwwww what a beautiful and heartfelt love letter to the one you love. Amazing imagery and emotions throughout. I have been blessed with finding my soul mate and one true love in life too. I know whatever comes our way we can deal with it together side by side. Again beautiful write I so enjoyed reading
