Shawl Dancing With Kaibab - Bronze

Missing image
With race of blood and bleed of spin
I am a craver and a carver of earth

Words, flying like spun-top
from me, feather to you, my friend

A lift of eye and heart and hand
to your fine quill, flowing river poems
back
to me
and so we share
this soulful sweetest breath of vision

We pant, in buckskin phrases,
of ecstasy and wings to rise
heart by heart, winged thoughts to share

No Icarus-escape, my friend, no, for

foot to earth and brace of back
is all we need of being held

to rise on wordy winds that blow
here in poets' sacred ground.

I watch you both with a muteness born of wonder in the face of such beautiful poetry strewn upon these pages in the spirit of Indian paintbrush, but my mind is not silent, nor my heart...just my tongue.

You are quite a dancer, M'Lady! This Poem puts you right up their{where you already was, in my opinion} with the top Echelon of AP. Really! You danced so eloquently with the one and only Kaibab... that is quite a feat! Your words dance in beauty and gracefullness. You swirl around alliteration & imaginings like the reknowned gentleman you are dancing with. Such beauty moves my soul...

    She is river's thirst
    in feathered bank,
her artery to flow so far in seeking,
    what was once
    and lives in always,
    sky and earthen love
    in making.

    Crave this call,
    and hear her whisper,

    when flight is night
    and ever sending
    moon to move
    in sun's reflection,

    sweet, eastern rise
    of new direction.

    And give her thanks,
    her native spirit,
    braver sky,
when souls do fly in affirmation,
    of song's poetic celebration.

    Thank you much poetic sister...
