I hate how you push and pull me around,
I hate how I do what you ask.
I hate how much I adore your voice,
And complete your every task.
I hate how much I love your hugs;
I hate how I long to hug you.
I hate how you know me oh so well,
Though many know much about me, too.
I hate how you ask for almost nothing,
I hate how I demand so much,
I hate how I watch for you to enter,
I hate it when our hands touch.
I hate how you enter my dreams,
I hate how you never stay,
I hate how you manage to make me happy,
each and every day.
I hate how you make me feel loved,
When you treat all your friends so equal,
I hate how you make life joyful,
and I long for my life's sequal.
I hate how you remember jokes and phrases,
I hate how you make me grin,
I hate how you make me laugh and giggle,
and warm from bone to skin.
I hate the way you say you love me,
I hate how you abuse the word,
I hate how you can always type it,
but verbally, I have never heard.
I hate how you seem so pretty,
I hate how your names stands out,
I hate how you make me calm and dreamy,
when sometimes I want to shout.
I hate how you make me think normal,
when sometimes my mind's not straight,
I hate how you try your best to please me,
when I ask you on a date.
I hate how you put yourself at risk,
the time I had the flu.
I hate how you made me feel so guilty,
When all fault lies on you.
I hate how you make my life seem perfect,
I hate how we never bond,
I hate how we're like water and oil,
Yet we always correspond.
I hate how my parents know your name,
I hate how I sometimes blush,
I hate the way you reacted,
when I told you of a crush.
I hate how things would never work,
I hate how I wish they had,
I hate the way you seem to know me,
for all of this I'm glad.
But I hate some things more than this,
And this is over due,
I hate the way I want to tell you,
I'm still in love with you.

Wonderful piece! The repetition of "I hate..." is a good, but after a while... It does lose some of its... "spice."

I'm like all the others, I enjoyed it... but the best part is a critique... I mean, I enjoy the wrangle; the back and forth of bending mindsets viewing a piece with differentiated skillsets...
So on that note, I guess one thing is not so much the repetition of "hate" -that's good, that ties the entire piece together... but it's the all too similar concepts simply reworded from stanza to stanza. I mean, don't get me wrong, the variation is there in the language, but the concept of EACH stanza is the juxtaposition of hating what is loved, and by about the 4th stanza the surprise has been removed, and it becomes not only predictable, but plausible -which can lead to a loss of any willing suspension of disbelief (the irony is removed, and then the work will lose it's spice...)
I mean, that may be a small critique, and a personal one at that... But I want 2 tell u I loved the piece, so I'm just trying to bring to the fore another perspective...

I love your style and touch of the vividness of the presentation which is very curious from the begining itself..but ou maintained the pace until the end did a thought provoking work my friend..I love this piece..In a very simple term you revealed the depth of the write here and there ..well done... -

Somtimes it's all the things that annoy us about someone that crawls under are skin that we seem to focus on, but in reality It's really a diversion to the real truth and emmense love that we have and hold for this preson. i love this poem, its so simple yet it gets the whole idea through. its a lot of hate, but i guess it just means its a lot of love as well, because the only reasons you hate that it because you love but cant tell her, right?

wow ... that's a lot of hate ... but it waqs a very good poem ... I usually hate long poems because they seem to lose my attention, but this one was awesome because I read all the way through without getting bored ... it sort of reminded me of my sitaution with a guy ... I hate so much us, but I still love him ... love and hate are too similar they are anything but opposite to me ... great write ... inspiration from a movie is one of the best!!!
