speckled, spot,
spiked && tactile
veins of running water to life
splays in odes to oxygen intrigue
when the seasons come to go
here in beauty to stay for another
window to our mother, our home
tiny wonder pressed in the pages
of one more history
my leather, && cracked specimen
on-lookers of worry and fear
last leaflet && tie to humanity
spiral off
never more ground
or rooted to
trees rotting
fly away as feathers float

i liked it. it was a great write and i loved the way you expressed the picture... adding human aspects to it. the way most people dont think to do. thanks for entering! and good luck!
