Impressions on Green

Movement a medium
granted so graciously
to gradients
poignantly
posing in
winds.

Ocean of malachite
meandering onward
moving through
strands of
untangible
trends

Bountiful blades in
unanimous
motion
licked by the
mistrals
forever
unseen.

So zealous these
zephyrs
appearing as
spectres
gleefully placing
impressions
on
green.

Author notes

This is option one. I'm so glad you thought that option up. There are many beautiful things all around us. Things that we see everyday but that we very rarely take the time to look at. Anyone who knows anything about life knows that there is a difference between "seeing" and "looking." I hope that everyone takes the time to stop and "look" at things and not just "see" them.

I hope you enjoyed this piece.

Here is a fun supplementary poem I wrote to this one.

Nothing quite as soothing and peaceful as laying on a bed of rich green grass on a warm summer day as you look up into sky of blue beauty with a few soft and puffy white clouds.

This is what your poem reminded me of.
Thanks for sharing this creation with us

    Bravo! nice... one!

I love green! The taste of green, the feel of green. Unlike any other color, green is the man.
Cool yet warm, dark with a dash of light....

Love it. Green is my favorite color so you automatically had me at hello! This was very soothing to read... I could almost hear it in a song... something Irish of course. Nice job. The description is stunning.

Very descriptive of the color green in a quiet unique way. The shape of this was stunning in and of itself, adding to its simplicity.
While reading your authors notes, I can honestly say I totally agree with the difference of seeing and just simply looking.

    My favorite part...

    Movement a medium
    granted so graciously
    to gradients
    poignantly
    posing in
    winds.

I can't tell if it's because I'm reading her too much or you are writing based upon her style, but this poem seriously makes me think of how Emily Dickinson wrote. Your concept of nature is very appealing and your choice of description is magnificent! I very much enjoyed this piece. I created a poem with this very style so I can relate to your creativity and mind-work. Very good job! I have no constuctive criticism. Good luck in the contest!

      Much Appreciated

I will admit that I have focused on myself when it comes to poetry. To be perfectly honest, I havent read much poetry outside of what people write here on allpoetry and what I have written myself. So, I am happy to be compared to someone such as Emily Dickinson, though I have not read any of her poetry. I don't know if its because I haven't the desire or if I'm afraid great poets such as Emily might rub off and effect the way I write.

Either way, thanks for the comment and the luck!
