No Looking back

The time passed by
Little by little, fast but slowly
Taking with its waves
All the painful memories

The scars are left behind
A reminder of mistakes made
But the wounds are tendered
Relieving the pain from inside
Giving another chance to mend
The blunders once committed

Steps moved forward
Turned back to see
The past is far behind
Still following with a smiling face
Ignoring I walk ahead

As I walked a little ahead
I met an old friend
Smilingly hugged me and said
I waited for a long time just for you
I’ve so much planned
To re-live all the fun we had
The laughter game we played
I’m here to remind you
Take you back to your destination
That you strayed away from

Took my hand
Showed me
There it is, your destination
I could see it as clear as daylight
The open blue skies
Greener were pastures
Cool breeze sung to the melodies
Of home coming

No looking back anymore
I am back home
The storm has passed away
Took away with it all the worries
The ambiance is beautifully calm
The sun rays are rendering the warmth
The moonlit night is burning soft beam
Caressing to sooth mind, body, heart & soul

Lost in my world
I suddenly remembered
Quickly turned around to see my friend
She is still standing next to me
Meet her, she’s life, my old friend
Waiting for my home coming…

No more looking back anymore…
No more looking back

    Wonderful Poem

You have penned a very thoughtful poem of how you overcame the struggles in your life. We should look inward for our own happiness and walk away from the sadness and darker side of life Getting headed in the right direction is the hard part. Are we ruled by our hearts or our minds. I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe I never will. Sounds like you are well on your way to finding happiness. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt poem. Very thought provoking. Thanks for sharing. Bless you my friend. Sandy
