The laws of entropy decree
there'll be nothing left of you and me
when nothing changes, all is static--
the end result is automatic.
There's no way round the Second Law
of Thermodynamics--no great thaw
in cold equations. I perceive
this knowledge will make people grieve,
but grief and sorrow cut no ice
when physics shakes the final dice!

Jolly good showing!
It would make people grieve a bit if they had any understanding of what "heat death of the universe" meant, but unfortunately, people seem to take pride in ignorance when it comes to science.
(CricketJeff-great comment by the way!)

Good rhyming though I haven't got a clue what it's about, not being very scientifically minded, but it doesn't spoil the excellent flow of the poem. I hope you do well in the contest.

A tribute to entropy
I like this one. I have a pet fasination with entropy; the idea of randomness appeals to me so this one was right up my street. I love the way the sentence doesn't finish but the line does, that's done really well.
Einstien's reference to quantum physics at the end is perfect.

Superb
In trillions of years there'll be nothing to chase
But neutrinos charging through empty space
No more poems, no more rhyme
Come to that there'll be no more time
But we've got a while to sit and wait
So I don't think I'll get in a state!
Short, bouncy, rhyming, scanning. Just what I wanted, thanks
