Gliding out of the pine-wood frame,
Draped in a light, dew-dripping breeze;
Innocence sleeping in green eyes,
Scented silk floating in dawn mist.
Sometimes an artist remembers
To leave an exit in pictures
For fair ladies to walk out,
Like in a tender morning dream.
Sweet be the world that awaits her,
For she is unspoilt so far;
Angelic soul in mellow curves,
Femininity in perfection.
Gentle, she treads into new worlds,
Amidst the sighs from the canvas;
Unknowing, she moves to fresh paths,
May angels guard in her sleep-walk.
Author notes
Do girls in pictures sleep-walk out of their frames?
