Wishful thinking

I stand and begin to gallop
in the open fire
and reminisce
the sweet voices of the choir

I close my eyes and dance
in the glowing darkness
and imagine how wonderful
the world without sadness

I whisper to my thoughts
in the heart of happiness
and kiss
the woman of my dreams

I kneel in the sand and pray
in the paradise of lost souls
and wishing
a forever blessed soul

You have painted such lovely wishes here in this poem, it's very beautiful...

    "I whisper to my thoughts
    in the heart of happiness
    and kiss
    the woman of my dreams"

So often we imagine what it would be like to kiss another we love, or bless someone, or imagine a world without sadness. The opening stanza is so engaging, I love your word choices in this poem...

    I love this

Intriguing write of longing... Purposed beat carrying you along, to brighter days - and hope filled wishes; to come. Great write!

this is an absolutely great write with a very positive outlook to have [to daydream about what it is] and to never give up being able to wish for and envision it.Somehow it does not seem as if you are a writing it in a letter form to yourself though....well, not necessarily letter form is needed , but I sort of was looking for you to be addressing yourself. Hmmmmm....and then again , maybe you are...
thank you so much for entering

i read this one last night and darn, i kept thinking about the imagery on this piece.
'guess it's also wishful thinking on my part..to be with someone....to love passionately...

anyways, love the whole piece..particularly :

I kneel in the sand and pray-
in the paradise of lost souls-
    and wishing-
    a forever blessed soul.

    good luck..

What a fabulous attitude and what energy to "gallop" through your day. I just love the second stanza especially the last two lines of it.
