We ruled the school back in our day,
The well-hards, the grebes or the grungies
- (that was what they called us. Not to our faces.)
Never stupid enough to speak to us without
Respect of the highest degree. They learned quickly.
We took what we wanted, faced no trouble
For pinching the other girls money or fags
- ( We were protecting their lungs)
Or even the secret bottles of vodka that lay
Underneath their mattresses. Not a word
Was ever mentioned to the sisters about
Our shockingly rude and terrible actions
- (Not that we ever would have admitted it)
And so we carried on. Six queen bees in a nest of
Drones and honey. Those were the days.
But now you have all gone and done something
Pretty bloody stupid, my dearest friends.
- (Who the hell overdoses these days?)
And those days are most defiantly over and
Done with. But by God, we ruled that school.
