Maddy McCann

Lost but not forgotten;
Taken but not lost.

Forever in our hearts;
We love you and care.

Please stay safe;
We wish to see you again.

Know everything will work out;
We wait to hold you in our arms again.

Your mother and I long to see your face again;
Mommy and daddy still love you deeply.

Author notes

Written in the view of the parents - and no I do not know them.

    The poet has no need to write to form or use poetic devices per se but writes straight from the heart of the matter to the heart of the matter for missing Maddy Mcann.This short write is not sharp yet has impact,God bless Maddy and her parents.Congratulations on the HM.

    Your poem is so tenderly penned, the disappearance of this little girl is a heartbreaking loss to her parents and you have expressed their thoughts well in this entry...thank you for your kind support Smile

    It is so difficult to write about the loss and hurt these poor parents are going through it seems a lot of people were quick to point the blame but, who can truly imagine what losing a child is like? There is no love like the love you feel towards your own child.
