Me and my Teddy ran away.
Sitting on a bench,
at the pond, in the park.
Birds of all kinds,
kept me and my Teddy company.
The park is a fun place to stay.
Down the slide, went Teddy and I.
Together on a swing we flew.
High in the air, feet to the sky.
I had to hold Teddy real tight,
he got a little scared.
Hanging upside down on the jungle gym,
we dangle like monkeys on the monkey bars.
Back and forth we crossed for a long time.
Spinning, spinning, spinning,
around on the merry-go-round,
until Teddy got dizzy and I was feeling sick.
Getting off, we walked a little sideways,
until our eyes focused straight.
We've been gone a very long time,
it's beginning to get dark.
Teddy must be getting hungry,
my tummy is making noise.
I think by now Mama has learned her lesson.
Never try to make me and my Teddy,
eat brussel sprouts
