Recess in the Celestial Playground

Against a backdrop of coldest black
They flittered like children at play.
Yet never stray they from appointed track
Which they'll follow to the end of days.
There goes the Dog, that with silent bark
Stuns the proud Hunter to draw his bow.
A Ladle of milk sparkles in the dark
And drags baby Bear, tail in tow.
The Scorpion to the Scales draws nigh
Though there's no poison in its sting.
The twin Fish swim against the tide,
While thoughtful Crab sits wondering.
And mindless Bull charges with no concern
For sake, no thought to consequence,
Sure and proud Ram smiles, 'Will he learn?'
He wonders at such bovine confidence.

Yet others tarried there, and played brilliant games,
But this discourse will not disclose their names.

You have so many angles, I would love to be in your head for just one day!

I love the creativity in this, I will have to think about it more the next time I gaze at the stars.
