Darkness surrounds the hours of my journey
As I am taken far away from you
And yet your smile is all that I can see
When new vistas appear within my view
Pounding noises and cries of hungry babes
Attack my ears as I attempt to sleep
Your voice breaks through, its calm and beauty saves
Cocooning me, sweet memories to keep
Even as I roam further still this night
A place close to my heart stays ever warm
Knowing that you keep me within your sight
And we will live forever in the dawn
Distance can not wither our pure true love
For we are one no matter where we move

As usual with most of Your poetry, i had to come back and re-read this ... and, once again, it brought tears to my eyes ~shaking head~ seriously, i'm on the verge of tears way too often now

Beautiful write. Much emotion expressed. Great imagery. I liked the ending the best. I think that is very true of love, that no matter how far away people are from each other, if they have a love that is strong enough, and true enough, love will never die. Keep up the great work.

i know i have been completely off the information waves, but i wanted You to know that i am amazed at the bond between You and C. i know all about long distances apart but i also now know about being together all the time. We were married on the 24th of July in NYC - it all happened so quickly - we left before i had a chance to meet or say goodbye. Hope that You enjoy Your visit in the UK and that 11 September comes soon for both of You. Thank You for being my friend and for all Your support. May You and C be blessed all the days of Your lives. You are both worth it.

i too am missing You (so is Alex lol!) but have the calender here and am marking off the nights as they happen ... although it doesn't seem to be helping much it just seems that 11 September is a lifetime away
