Written in Bone

I walk this alone on this path
A task by right of passage
Into a cavern of lost souls
A sacrifice must be made
By hammer and chisel
So others may live on
Cold stone I lay down
Tribal words are spoken
And my head rolls free
As my soul watches on
Into flames to purge
The flesh from bone
A new template is born
My history inscribed
Forever A Celtic memory

Author notes

Dont know how to put the picture on the poem

Cool picture, but then i am right into celtic art, trickey to create, though I dont really know the meaning behind it, I just like the challenge it presents. the poem is just something I thought of, must make you wonder why they carved a skull in the first place.

Be honest
