Dear Child of The Universe

The paper you write upon is of a delicate white linen-
You sit with pen in hand
Or
Maybe they are arched over an ivory keyboard
ready to speed across the galaxies of the universe.
As you sit and ponder what you will say.
These words, of ageless time, I share with you.
Let your thoughts flow into the rivers and byways of your life.
Watch them splash like a pebble on water-
Sending ripples to the reader of untold fantasies
Or
Send them tumbling into lashing waters-
Down into the darkened mire of the watery wastes of indecision.
Do not place your thoughts in a bottle -
Sending them out to sea so no eye’s will look upon your sacred thoughts of
pain, love, and questions about humanity.
Bring them into the light... dear child-
Eye’s will open to your reflections and will hold them with the warming compassion of love.
They will drink in each word like an intoxicating spirit-
Letting their love spill over you
like a cooling breeze from the oceans of the world.
Do remember
You are never alone
Dear child
Dear child of the universe.

Hugs

Love that...black and white like the star and space between them...

I usually put mine in a bottle and toss them into the sea and then throw rocks at the floating bottle. I used to watch them splash like pebbles on water but then those who read it would stick them in a bottle, toss them in the sea and throw rocks at it.....

It's beautiful, really is, it's an idyllic look at writing, but not only that but one's love and faith and beliefs.

I've always loved this piece. I am a fan indeed. It is like a lullaby that soothes one into a peaceful rest.
