I woke today,
with chills running up and down my spine,
the hairs stood up on my arms,
my feet was tickled from
the cool, fall-like air.
I marveled at the bumps that
grew on my arms,
was pleased to breathe
cool, smooth, fresh air.
I dared myself to streak around the house,
only to cover up if I got too cold.
I went to work on this cloudy, dreary, day
but had sunshine on my mind.
I kept smiling,
but people didn't know why.
I was in good spirits, cheerful,
feeling finally able to relax
in the comfort of beautiful nature!
