Excerp from a Dying Heart

"And I miss you
more than you'll ever know;
more than you'll ever care to know.

And I just want
one chance to say goodbye;
one chance to say it all to you.

And I know that
it's something I'll never say;
it's something I'm too afraid to say:
'I love you'.

So, good night.
This night will not pass for me
and I write my last words to you.

Just promise,
please promise me you'll be safe...
promise you'll always be..."

Author notes

I wrote this last night, when I wasn't- and still am not- feeling all that well. It's written as a narrative, but I'm not sure who was supposed to be narrarating... and I doubt that that made sense.

So... yeah.

    Its well written and I am kinda confused but its kinda like a fare well that isn't really a fare well and means alot but is never going to be said. Just
    "promise,
    please promise me you'll be safe...
    promise you'll always be..." " I like this it s a good ending and it kinda leaves you wondering even though its kinda implied. nice poem.
