love, lust and loss

rare buds bloom as one
fragrant perfume bathes the air
saturating souls

~~~
heady scents linger
stimulating memories of
pleasures of the flesh
~~~

blood red roses spill
petals from mournful stems, to
weep upon your grave

Patricia Gibson-Little

Author notes

I wrote these just for your contest.  It was a pleasure to spend a while contemplating life in haiku form.

    Beautiful!Absoluteley wonderful! I love Haikus, and those are one of the best ones I've read. I think it's so awesome how you put flowers as emotions, It's so original.

    Beautiful!

    I simply love haikus. I wrote a Trilogy of Two, on my author's page. I spent last Saturday having fun with them because I don't write them as often as I should. I am going to enter this contest. Thanks for the inspiration with your beautiful entries. Good luck with the contest.

    Much Love,
    Renee
