What is this drone that rattles within my consciousness?
Is this the voice of reason?
I scream as it claws its way through my thoughts,
Reverberating inside my mind,
Repetitively gnawing at my soul.

    Wonderful use of personification. I like your approach to this - how you chose to portray reason as somewhat of a monster (as opposed to the usual portrayal where it's inherently a good thing). While I realize that you were likely working within a constricted word limit, I would have liked to see a bit more expansion on the idea. Still, a good write. Thanks for sharing and for entering
