What is it about the sunset
That I find so entrancing?
Is it the colors?
My artistic appreciation
For God's creations?
Do I find hope in them?
Thinking that symbolically
They promise a brighter tomorrow?
Am I a hopeless romantic?
Believing they are the height of the romance
That I so desperately desire?
Or is it a culmination of them all?
I don't know.
But I know that I want to spend
Every sunset God allows me,
With you.
We've never met,
Or maybe we have,
And we haven't yet realized
Our need for one another.
But when we do-
The sky shall celebrate
Our love.
Until then adieu.

I adore this.
I have wondered such things myself because I,like you,love the sunset. And maybe for me it is because it promises a new tomorrow, but when I see it I cannot help but think of that someone that I'll share my life with and be able to witness a sunset with. Also,I like how you ended the poem, it was a beautiful poem. GOod job and good luck for the honorable mention, wish i could give you gold for this.

This is lovely, and I share your thoughts about hopeless romance. Only time will tell, but I wish sunsets wouldn't come and go as quickly as they do. By the time you get a good lookat such a beautiful thing, it's gone within minutes. But that is what makes it so special, I guess. Great write and Good luck!

Wow, well spoken. I love this poem alot. This is the best one I have read all day, and in saying that know I have read about 50 plus poems. I love the way it flows, and the way the end is the end. Very creative and a very good choice in words and lines. Great write all around!
