Did I hear every word?
Oh dear God, this is absurd.
How can I refuse him,
When I gave everything to choose him?
He was everything to me
My heart, my soul, part of me
That's so hard to let go.
He used to guide me and give me
What *he* thought I did need,
Things I could never know.
He gave me a song,
But the notes were very wrong.
He gave me life,
But never looked into my eyes.
For he was mine,
Once upon a tragic time.
He once held all of me.
Now it's strange, he means nothing
Of course, times change, this I see.
Now I'm free, on my own,
And now there's a love of my own.
He loves me, I've finally grown
And yes, I love him too.
He gives me a song,
Now I can sing so strong
He gives me life
When he looks into my eyes.
And he is mine,
Once upon a magic time.
Now he holds,
He holds all,
Of me.
Please tell me what you think

A heart felt tale. Nicely written. One has so many meaning but the main one is that we are all one. In more ways than we imagine.

Very Lyrical
I knw that your young but for someone of tender years I once again sang this to myself rather than read it and it's a ballad to me. Nice images.

i agree
i agree with Celinda in that the title she chose for ur poem suits it well :-) i love the compare and contrast within the story line very visual and even though i am a guy i try my best not to control any part of my relationship with my girlfriend :-) anyways i had also wanted to comment on the comparison of the alst verse and the third verse :-) verrrry well done keep up the good work and dont stop writing :- -
"The Power Of One"
I picked the title because this shows how the power of one person can influence (dominate) the other, depending on how one looks at it. This is true ESPECIALLY for relationships. Since guys usually want to control everything, mainly I think just to see if they can...
This is very good, the storyline flows very well and is in sync. It shows the personal growth of the main subject as having come full circle from a bad start. May we all have such a happy ending.
