Cattail Perch

soaring with the delicate breeze
i chirp and call for my mate

gliding through farmland
honeysuckle scents abound

listening for my lovers chirp
flying free on towards my destiny

landing down on my cattail perch
under shade I call for my love

drowning out the other birds
so i can hear so clear for her

a wind kicks up i hear a lovely call
its my soul-mate she cries for me

leaving my perch with a fabulous flap
meeting my lover with a caressing kiss

we fly together in this glorious spring
amongst the fields as far as the eye can see

Simple. clear and vivid interpretation of bird's love makes this poem to fly easy like the feather into the sky.
