Godmade Bond

There's a girl I met in college
- at first, she was a bit stuck up -
But God decided to knit our hearts
- so closely together it hurts to part -
We became rommates and shared it all
- secrets, clothes, advice -
Through laughter, tears, anger, and love
- our bond burns so bright -
Over distance, few phone calls, no visits
- we stay in touch on the internet -
She is that close sister I've never had
- our God-given bond would live without the web -
Missing her hurts and I'd never go back
- never going to change what God did -
I thank God for my best friend
- my sister, my beloved twin -

Author notes

The rhyme's not perfect, I know. But that's the best I know how to describe my feelings without sounding like a lesbian (simply because that's not the kind of relaltionship it is).

    this is very sincere and heartfelt read nice and short to the point, notmuch of a rhyming poem but maybe this is your intention and the flow is smooth so well done xx

      Thank you. I did try to rhyme it, but found that it would be forced if I made it strict, so I deviated while trying to stay true to the poem. Thanks again,
