Apparition

Missing image

Apparition

I dwell in the graveyard at night.
I’m a ghastly vision of fright.
I search in the dark for my love.
Over crypts I float from above.

I consented to be his wife
and that evening he took my life.
Over crypts I float from above.
I search in the dark for my love.

Each night I am given new birth
and ripped from the womb of the earth.
I search in the dark for my love.
Over crypts I float from above.

What do I do when I find him;
can I punish him for his sin?
Over crypts I float from above.
I search in the dark for my love.

So now as a specter I dwell
and long for release from this hell.
I search in the dark for my love.
Over crypts I float from above.

You so expect darkness when inviting it, it is in the traits that gives another life or death situation, life, where they've become the unrest and death, to be ever floating until something or other gives them piece, eeby geebies, !!!

I'm envious of how you paint with words so well, but in a good way..an appreciative way. You definitely have the skill and talents I lack in this direction, but I learn so much from just reading your pieces, and it's wonderful! Good luck in the contest!

    Love,

Powerful write. Fantastic imagery. This made me think of a soul who can't rest and feels sad and wants to get revenge for what was done to them. I also liked the second line in the last stanza. It made me think of how depending on how a person's life is, life can seem to be like hell if they feel like they're in fear or sad about life. Good luck in the contest.

Amera my love, this is a 'reach out and grab' kind of piece that has grabbed at my very being. The imagery is divinely written with a supreme knowledge that one can only find with the strength that is developed by faith! This speaks volumes and it revives my soul. I don't see the dark in this ... I see the beauty! I don't see the dark in this, I see the beauty hidden in this message!

This is another hauntingly beautiful piece that you have penned and it sent a chill up my spine. Your rhythm and rhyme are spot on as always and I love the use of refrain lines as they add so much power to a write. A very interesting form that you used here and I have yet to try one. You captured the essence of the picture with your artwork so lovely. I am left breathless once again by the depth of your words that fill me with such vivid imagery. Thank you for sharing with all of us and best wishes in the contest. It sounds golden. Love you my friend, Joyce

    eerie

A lightness and a darkness prevails in this poem with images so well endowed, one is carried into this tale of ghostly apparition..Inspiring form , you do it so well and with verve.
