Untitled

The Himalayas will have to wait.
Old Faithful can just stay true.
I just walked thought the gate
Of pearly white and blue.

Nothing will last forever.
It will be gone in the blink of an eye.
I should know, I pulled the lever,
Walked through the door as I said goodbye.

Nothing is as bad as it seems.
Take a look from a different view.
Something just might gleam
If you give it a look or two.

Turning back now I can see
All the things I did wrong.
I was never proud to be
Part of His wonderful song.

The fluffy sidewalk is different,
The bright sun glows,
None of the trees are bent
And the wind gently blows.

Why are things so different?
Where am I now?
What wasn’t I always the gent,
The one who didn’t care how?

I see Him walking toward me
In robes bright as day.
I wonder who He could be
And he knows just what I’ll say.

“Your life was not perfect
But that is the beauty of it all.
You never know what you will get
You just might hear my call.

I carried your sins
And hanged them on the cross.
All for you and your kin
And you might not know the cost.

I died for you
Like you died for them.
What you did was true
And the angels will sing a hymn.”

Please tell me what you think

Not bad. The flow was rough in this poem. Some of your stanzas like the very first one though had a perfect rhythm. In the second to last stanza in the second line you said

And hanged them on the cross

    I think it should be
and hung them on the cross

All in all a fairly good piece.
